Psalm 119: The Delight of YHVH’s Torah!

Virtually every verse of Psalm 119 is about loving, welcoming and obeying God’s Torah in our lives! Perfect for anyone who wants to align themselves with God’s purposes for their lives and their nation. When I read this Psalm, I concentrate on every single verse, and I pray and mean it with all of my heart unto the Lord!
Psalm 119 from the World Messianic Bible (WMB, using God’s personal name YHVH)
ALEPH
1 Blessed are those whose ways are blameless,
who walk according to YHVH’s law.
2 Blessed are those who keep his statutes,
who seek him with their whole heart.
3 Yes, they do nothing wrong.
They walk in his ways.
4 You have commanded Your precepts,
that we should fully obey them.
5 Oh that my ways were steadfast
to obey Your statutes!
6 Then I wouldn’t be disappointed,
when I consider all of Your commandments.
7 I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart,
when I learn Your righteous judgments.
8 I will observe Your statutes.
Don’t utterly forsake me.
BET
9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By living according to Your word.
10 With my whole heart, I have sought you.
Don’t let me wander from Your commandments.
11 I have hidden Your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
12 Blessed are you, YHVH.
Teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips,
I have declared all the ordinances of Your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies,
as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on Your precepts,
and consider Your ways.
16 I will delight myself in Your statutes.
I will not forget Your word.
GIMEL
17 Do good to Your servant.
I will live and I will obey Your word.
18 Open my eyes,
that I may see wondrous things out of Your Torah.
19 I am a stranger on the earth.
Don’t hide Your commandments from me.
20 My soul is consumed with longing for Your ordinances at all times.
21 You have rebuked the proud who are cursed,
who wander from Your commandments.
22 Take reproach and contempt away from me,
for I have kept Your statutes.
23 Though princes sit and slander me,
Your servant will meditate on Your statutes.
24 Indeed Your statutes are my delight,
and my counselors.
DALED
25 My soul is laid low in the dust.
Revive me according to Your word!
26 I declared my ways, and you answered me.
Teach me Your statutes.
27 Let me understand the teaching of Your precepts!
Then I will meditate on Your wondrous works.
28 My soul is weary with sorrow:
strengthen me according to Your word.
29 Keep me from the way of deceit.
Grant me Your Torah graciously!
30 I have chosen the way of truth.
I have set Your ordinances before me.
31 I cling to Your statutes, YHVH.
Don’t let me be disappointed.
32 I run in the path of Your commandments,
for you have set my heart free.
HEY
33 Teach me, YHVH, the way of Your statutes.
I will keep them to the end.
34 Give me understanding, and I will keep Your Torah.
Yes, I will obey it with my whole heart.
35 Direct me in the path of Your commandments,
for I delight in them.
36 Turn my heart toward Your statutes,
not toward selfish gain.
37 Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things.
Revive me in Your ways.
38 Fulfill Your promise to Your servant,
that you may be feared.
39 Take away my disgrace that I dread,
for Your ordinances are good.
40 Behold, I long for Your precepts!
Revive me in Your righteousness.
VAV
41 Let Your loving kindness also come to me, YHVH,
Your salvation, according to Your word.
42 So I will have an answer for him who reproaches me,
for I trust in Your word.
43 Don’t snatch the word of truth out of my mouth,
for I put my hope in Your ordinances.
44 So I will obey Your Torah continually,
forever and ever.
45 I will walk in liberty,
for I have sought Your precepts.
46 I will also speak of Your statutes before kings,
and will not be disappointed.
47 I will delight myself in Your commandments,
because I love them.
48 I reach out my hands for Your commandments, which I love.
I will meditate on Your statutes.
ZAYIN
49 Remember Your word to Your servant,
because you gave me hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction,
for Your word has revived me.
51 The arrogant mock me excessively,
but I don’t swerve from Your Torah.
52 I remember Your ordinances of old, YHVH,
and have comforted myself.
53 Indignation has taken hold on me,
because of the wicked who forsake Your Torah.
54 Your statutes have been my songs
in the house where I live.
55 I have remembered Your name, YHVH, in the night,
and I obey Your Torah.
56 This is my way,
that I keep Your precepts.
CHET
57 YHVH is my portion.
I promised to obey Your words.
58 I sought Your favor with my whole heart.
Be merciful to me according to Your word.
59 I considered my ways,
and turned my steps to Your statutes.
60 I will hurry, and not delay,
to obey Your commandments.
61 The ropes of the wicked bind me,
but I won’t forget Your Torah.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to you,
because of Your righteous ordinances.
63 I am a friend of all those who fear you,
of those who observe Your precepts.
64 The earth is full of Your loving kindness, YHVH.
Teach me Your statutes.
TET
65 Do good to Your servant,
according to Your word, YHVH.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge,
for I believe in Your commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted, I went astray;
but now I observe Your word.
68 You are good, and do good.
Teach me Your statutes.
69 The proud have smeared a lie upon me.
With my whole heart, I will keep Your precepts.
70 Their heart is as callous as the fat,
but I delight in Your Torah.
71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted,
that I may learn Your statutes.
72 The Torah you have spoken is better to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver.
YUD
73 Your hands have made me and formed me.
Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.
74 Those who fear you will see me and be glad,
because I have put my hope in Your word.
75 YHVH, I know that Your judgments are righteous,
that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
76 Please let Your loving kindness be for my comfort,
according to Your word to Your servant.
77 Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live;
for Your Torah is my delight.
78 Let the proud be disappointed, for they have overthrown me wrongfully.
I will meditate on Your precepts.
79 Let those who fear you turn to me.
They will know Your statutes.
80 Let my heart be blameless toward Your decrees,
that I may not be disappointed.
KAF
81 My soul faints for Your salvation.
I hope in Your word.
82 My eyes fail for Your word.
I say, “When will you comfort me?”
83 For I have become like a wineskin in the smoke.
I don’t forget Your statutes.
84 How many are the days of Your servant?
When will you execute judgment on those who persecute me?
85 The proud have dug pits for me,
contrary to Your Torah.
86 All of Your commandments are faithful.
They persecute me wrongfully.
Help me!
87 They had almost wiped me from the earth,
but I didn’t forsake Your precepts.
88 Preserve my life according to Your loving kindness,
so I will obey the statutes of Your mouth.
LAMED
89 YHVH, Your word is settled in heaven forever.
90 Your faithfulness is to all generations.
You have established the earth, and it remains.
91 Your laws remain to this day,
for all things serve you.
92 Unless Your Torah had been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget Your precepts,
for with them, you have revived me.
94 I am Yours.
Save me, for I have sought Your precepts.
95 The wicked have waited for me, to destroy me.
I will consider Your statutes.
96 I have seen a limit to all perfection,
but Your commands are boundless.
MEM
97 How I love Your Torah!
It is my meditation all day.
98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies,
for Your commandments are always with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers,
for Your testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the aged,
because I have kept Your precepts.
101 I have kept my feet from every evil way,
that I might observe Your word.
102 I have not turned away from Your ordinances,
for you have taught me.
103 How sweet are Your promises to my taste,
more than honey to my mouth!
104 Through Your precepts, I get understanding;
therefore I hate every false way.
NUN
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet,
and a light for my path.
106 I have sworn, and have confirmed it,
that I will obey Your righteous ordinances.
107 I am afflicted very much.
Revive me, YHVH, according to Your word.
108 Accept, I beg you, the willing offerings of my mouth.
YHVH, teach me Your ordinances.
109 My soul is continually in my hand,
yet I won’t forget Your Torah.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me,
yet I haven’t gone astray from Your precepts.
111 I have taken Your testimonies as a heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart.
112 I have set my heart to perform Your statutes forever,
even to the end.
SAMEKH
113 I hate double-minded men,
but I love Your Torah.
114 You are my hiding place and my shield.
I hope in Your word.
115 Depart from me, you evildoers,
that I may keep the commandments of my God.
116 Uphold me according to Your word, that I may live.
Let me not be ashamed of my hope.
117 Hold me up, and I will be safe,
and will have respect for Your statutes continually.
118 You reject all those who stray from Your statutes,
for their deceit is in vain.
119 You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross.
Therefore I love Your testimonies.
120 My flesh trembles for fear of you.
I am afraid of Your judgments.
AYIN
121 I have done what is just and righteous.
Don’t leave me to my oppressors.
122 Ensure Your servant’s well-being.
Don’t let the proud oppress me.
123 My eyes fail looking for Your salvation,
for Your righteous word.
124 Deal with Your servant according to Your loving kindness.
Teach me Your statutes.
125 I am Your servant. Give me understanding,
that I may know Your testimonies.
126 It is time to act, YHVH,
for they break Your Torah.
127 Therefore I love Your commandments more than gold,
yes, more than pure gold.
128 Therefore I consider all of Your precepts to be right.
I hate every false way.
PEY
129 Your testimonies are wonderful,
therefore my soul keeps them.
130 The entrance of Your words gives light.
It gives understanding to the simple.
131 I opened my mouth wide and panted,
for I longed for Your commandments.
132 Turn to me, and have mercy on me,
as you always do to those who love Your name.
133 Establish my footsteps in Your word.
Don’t let any iniquity have dominion over me.
134 Redeem me from the oppression of man,
so I will observe Your precepts.
135 Make Your face shine on Your servant.
Teach me Your statutes.
136 Streams of tears run down my eyes,
because they don’t observe Your Torah.
TZADI
137 You are righteous, YHVH.
Your judgments are upright.
138 You have commanded Your statutes in righteousness.
They are fully trustworthy.
139 My zeal wears me out,
because my enemies ignore Your words.
140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested,
and Your servant loves them.
141 I am small and despised.
I don’t forget Your precepts.
142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness.
Your Torah is truth.
143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold of me.
Your commandments are my delight.
144 Your testimonies are righteous forever.
Give me understanding, that I may live.
KUF
145I have called with my whole heart.
Answer me, YHVH!
I will keep Your statutes.
146 I have called to you. Save me!
I will obey Your statutes.
147 I rise before dawn and cry for help.
I put my hope in Your words.
148 My eyes stay open through the night watches,
that I might meditate on Your word.
149 Hear my voice according to Your loving kindness.
Revive me, YHVH, according to Your ordinances.
150 They draw near who follow after wickedness.
They are far from Your Torah.
151 You are near, YHVH.
All Your commandments are truth.
152 Of old I have known from Your testimonies,
that you have founded them forever.
RESH
153 Consider my affliction, and deliver me,
for I don’t forget Your Torah.
154 Plead my cause, and redeem me!
Revive me according to Your promise.
155 Salvation is far from the wicked,
for they don’t seek Your statutes.
156 Great are Your tender mercies, YHVH.
Revive me according to Your ordinances.
157 Many are my persecutors and my adversaries.
I haven’t swerved from Your testimonies.
158 I look at the faithless with loathing,
because they don’t observe Your word.
159 Consider how I love Your precepts.
Revive me, YHVH, according to Your loving kindness.
160 All of Your words are truth.
Every one of Your righteous ordinances endures forever.
SIN AND SHIN
161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause,
but my heart stands in awe of Your words.
162 I rejoice at Your word,
as one who finds great plunder.
163 I hate and abhor falsehood.
I love Your Torah.
164 Seven times a day, I praise you,
because of Your righteous ordinances.
165 Those who love Your Torah have great peace.
Nothing causes them to stumble.
166I have hoped for Your salvation, YHVH.
I have done Your commandments.
167 My soul has observed Your testimonies.
I love them exceedingly.
168 I have obeyed Your precepts and Your testimonies,
for all my ways are before you.
TAV
169 Let my cry come before you, YHVH.
Give me understanding according to Your word.
170 Let my supplication come before you.
Deliver me according to Your word.
171 Let my lips utter praise,
for you teach me Your statutes.
172 Let my tongue sing of Your word,
for all Your commandments are righteousness.
173 Let Your hand be ready to help me,
for I have chosen Your precepts.
174I have longed for Your salvation [yeshuat], YHVH.
Your Torah is my delight.
175 Let my soul live, that I may praise you.
Let Your ordinances help me.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep.
Seek Your servant, for I don’t forget Your commandments.

America Moves its Embassy to Jerusalem: Isaiah 44:24-28

YHVH is giving me a new song this morning, and I’m shaking in its implications. Please pray I will be able to manifest this faithfully.

When America moves its embassy to Jerusalem (which was just announced by President Trump yesterday) this will be a powerful statement to the world about Israel’s sovereign right to the land — and a prophetic fulfillment that will bring the countdown clock to Messiah’s coming one big step closer! (it may also unleash WW3 in the Middle East, but that’s beside the point).

Early this morning I received powerful words from the LORD (YHVH) during my Bible studies from Isaiah 44 (which is the Haftarah portion #24 of the yearly pattern of Jewish scripture reading up to v.23). It’s a powerful passage of scripture! But where it gets even more powerful is right after the parasha reading concludes, and that’s concerning King Cyrus. Up to Isaiah 44:23 the LORD dramatically sets the stage for Judah and Jerusalem’s restoration that would be brought about specifically through His chosen shepherd, one NAMED Cyrus (see the poetry of Isaiah 44:24-28 — yes YHVH through Isaiah named Cyrus specifically 140 years in advance! ) Isaiah 44:24 begins a 5-verse poem by YHVH that leads to the climax of verse 28, the announcement that YHVH’s instrument would be a king whose name would be “Cyrus”, and it is he who will cause Jerusalem to be rebuilt, and the foundation of the temple to be laid. Take time to read Isaiah 44:1-23, and then read the fire in these concluding words of chapter 44:

Isaiah 44:24-28 NKJV
Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer,
And He who formed you from the womb:
“I am the LORD, who makes all things,
Who stretches out the heavens all alone,
Who spreads abroad the earth by Myself;
25 Who frustrates the signs of the babblers,
And drives diviners mad;
Who turns wise men backward,
And makes their knowledge foolishness;
26 Who confirms the word of His servant,
And performs the counsel of His messengers;
Who says to Jerusalem, ‘You shall be inhabited,’
To the cities of Judah, ‘You shall be built,’
And I will raise up her waste places;
27 Who says to the deep, ‘Be dry!
And I will dry up your rivers’;
28 Who says of Cyrus, ‘He is My shepherd,
And he shall perform all My pleasure,
Saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,”
And to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid.”’

Happy Birthday Cassandra!

15934186_1228452097236130_687548526_o-115799930_1228447723903234_475254318504324650_o-1Happy birthday to my beloved wife Cassandra! My dear, it’s been an amazing journey together serving our Father in heaven (YHVH) and His awesome Son Yeshua our Messiah! I cannot say in words how much I appreciate your obedience to be His handmaiden! I understand first-hand how He has led you, spoken to you, guided you in His purposes. A very big part of that, I am a direct recipient of, so these words come from the depths of my heart. I am very proud of you. I have watched you grow in spirit, character, and experience now, just over 10 years since we first met at that all-night worship gathering in New York. I didn’t know you, but Elohim did! I didn’t have a clue what His plan was, but Elohim knew every step of the way what He was going to do. And despite all the obstacles, and oppositions, you (like Rebecca, Isaac’s wife) had heard from YHVH His divine promise…and you at personal risk and cost stepped up to the plate and did your part. I love you for that. I love you so much! God has used you to bless my life so much! And we have much more to do together for His glory. So on this your birthday, I want to thank you for being the beautiful person you are, the obedient hand-maiden that you are, the amazing help-meet that you are, and the true partner-in-life that you are, to me. May YHVH grant you every desire and make you like Rebecca, a true mother of Israel. Happy Birthday my darling!

For Unto Us! A Child is Born!

What a day this has been! I spent an hour in God’s word this morning, reading amazing passages of scripture. December 25th is always a special day, and today I officially release my new music album (both CD and downloads) to the public, entitled “For Unto Us.”
This special time of the year has consistently been the time when the Lord has apprehended me unto deeper and higher things for His glory! Here are a few memorable “December dates” in my life:
Dec. 23rd 1982 was the day He spoke to me while I knelt at my bed, and called me into full-time ministry. I ceased my secular music career and followed His call, entering Bible College and becoming a professor then pastor then College Dean and then world-wide worship evangelist—and have never looked back!
Dec 21st 1997 was when He gave me a vision in Japan and told me that my music would go around the world, coming from the “Gate facing East.
Dec. 20 1998 I signed with “Praise Incorporated” in the Philippines to distribute my albums. Suddenly I was doing tours throughout the Philippines, touching thousands of lives in cities from Luzon to Zamboanga, even leading worship for the El Shaddai Catholic group with one million people in a single meeting in Manila. God’s hand was in all of this, and He used Anita Teh (my manager in the Philippines) mightily, whose ministry name is Eastgate Foundation! (How cool is that?) And from Dec. 1998 Filipinos began taking my songs (like “For the Lord is My Tower”) all around the world! God fulfilled His word within a year! And shortly thereafter I received gold and platinum album awards for three of my albums in the Philippines. Isn’t God amazing?
I could tell you of many other “December” moments. Check back for updates to this “note” to see more as I add thereunto.
Today on Christmas Day I have officially released my newest album, “For Unto Us” to the entire world. It is my 18th album, and is unique from my other albums in many ways. Would you like to hear it? Enjoy! If you’d like to receive a free download of the title song “For Unto Us”, go to www.stevekuban.com/store, I’ve set the price for free for this limited time.
Shalom! He is our Prince of Peace!

It’s always important to check with God

Today YHVH spoke so clearly from His amazing Word during our daily Torah, Haftarah and Brit Chadashah reading. We started two fresh cycles of reading on Simchat Torah (Oct. 25th this year): A YEARLY cycle of the traditional Jewish Parashah Table, where Jews read a specific portion of scripture each week on Shabbat: and a daily reading schedule, where we read each portion sequentially each day (except Shabbat which is devoted to the Parashah Table), so today we are on #36 (since we’re on the 36th day of reading following the new cycle’s beginning on Oct 25th, 2016).
In today’s Torah portion (#36) we read in Numbers chapter 9 how Moses was asked by two men concerning what they should do regarding Passover observance (Numbers 9:6-7). They had been in contact with a dead person, and so were not ceremonially clean to observe the Passover. It was a question that had never come up before. Moses didn’t just haphazardly issue a response from his head, but rather said unto them, “Stand still, and I will hear what the LORD will command concerning you.” (Numb 9:8) And the next verse says, “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying….” (Numb. 9:9) God gave Moses the answer to the question. We too need to learn to do this. It’s easy to sometimes just speak from our minds, but it’s far more important that we always take time to inquire of the LORD. And don’t feel pressured to give an answer. Sometimes I get asked, “Please come on such and such a date to our big event.” I will respond, “Just wait, I’ll ask YHVH His will on the matter.” I’m not afraid to tell someone, “Stand still, and I will hear what YHVH will command concerning you.” And I don’t let the fact that they are standing there make me feel rushed to give them an answer. God always will respond, when we seek Him earnestly.
We also read a chapter each day from the Gospels, today was Mark 8. Beginning at verse 31 we read: “And Yeshua began to teach [His disciples] that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And He spake that saying openly. And Peter took Him and began to rebuke Him. But when Yeshua had turned about and looked on His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, “Get thee behind me, Satan: for you are not mindful of the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.” It might have been a noble thought on the part of Peter, to say, “No way Jesus, you’re not going to die!” But WHO was saying this? Truthfully, in a moment Peter had gone from being someone enlightened concerning the true identity of Yeshua being the Messiah, the Christ, to now being an agent of Satan through his man-centered thinking! We too need to always be aware, just because we might feel a certain way in our flesh, we must always be sensitive to GOD’S WILL! Otherwise we too can be unwittingly used by Satan to try to thwart God’s purposes! (What a sobering thought!)
We also read one chapter from Acts each day, so today we read from Acts 4. Peter and John had gone to the temple (Acts 3:1-11) and through them God healed a 40-year old man who had been lame from birth. “Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Yeshuah the Messiah of Nazareth rise up and walk!” And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. and he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praise God: And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the gate called Beautiful of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.” (Acts 3:6-10). Peter then declared, “Yeshuah’s name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong. . . . Yes the faith which comes through Yeshua has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.” Everybody in Jerusalem knew the lame man, for he had been begging for alms at the temple for many years, and as a result of this mighty miracle five thousand people believed (Acts 4:4) when Peter preached who Yeshua was.
But the priests, temple captain, and the Sadducees were upset with what happened, and put Peter and John in prison overnight, and the next day brought them before the high priest Annas, his family, and leader Caiaphas to give account. No one could deny that what had happened was indeed a mighty miracle from God. “The leaders said among themselves, ‘What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a remarkable miracle has been done by them known to all that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. But that it spread no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.’ And they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Yeshua.” (Acts 4:16-18)
“But Peter and John answered and said unto them, “Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” (Acts 4:21)
So there are definitely times in our lives when we must follow the voice of God, rather than just follow our heart, our head or our feelings, or even the words that leaders may tell us! We truly need to LISTEN to what God says concerning the matter!
Have you had such a time in your life? I have. And it’s not been easy. But always, when we will listen to what YHVH, Yeshua and the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh) have to say concerning a matter, we will be emboldened to obey the voice of God, rather than our own thoughts, or the voice of man.
I have much more to share and will do so shortly. This is just the beginning of some of what YHVH has spoken to me today through His wonderful word! How I love to read and hear from Him! May God bless you all!

Powerful Portions of Scripture that brought me to my knees today

Today I read these four sections (portions) of scripture in accordance with the Parashah Tables (#50, plus New Testament portions above), and it touched my heart so deeply and brought me to my knees crying, like I’ve not cried before God in a long while. I’ll place them here for you and perhaps share some of the story of their personal meaning to me, as God leads me. It involves songs I played and sang when I was six years old which my dad taught me (such as “O Dem Golden Slippers”). The passages for Parashah (portion) #50 are: Deut. 26:1-29:8, Isaiah 60:1-22, Eph. 1:3-6 and Rev. 21:10-27. If you have time to read these, I believe you too will be truly touched!

Deuteronomy 26:1 – 29:8

Offerings of Firstfruits and Tithes

26 “And it shall be, when you come into the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it,2 that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide. 3 And you shall go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him, ‘I declare today to the Lord your[a]God that I have come to the country which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’
4 “Then the priest shall take the basket out of your hand and set it down before the altar of the Lord your God. 5 And you shall answer and say before the Lord your God: ‘My father was a Syrian,[b] about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and dwelt there, few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous. 6 But the Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us. 7 Then we cried out to the Lord God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression. 8 So the Lordbrought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. 9 He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, “a land flowing with milk and honey”;[c] 10 and now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land which you, O Lord, have given me.’
“Then you shall set it before the Lord your God, and worship before the Lord your God. 11 So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the Lordyour God has given to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.
12 “When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year—the year of tithing—and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled, 13 then you shall say before the Lord your God: ‘I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have I forgotten them.14 I have not eaten any of it when in mourning, nor have I removed any of it for an unclean use, nor given any of it for the dead. I have obeyed the voice of the Lord my God, and have done according to all that You have commanded me. 15 Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, just as You swore to our fathers, “a land flowing with milk and honey.”’[d]

A Special People of God

16 “This day the Lord your God commands you to observe these statutes and judgments; therefore you shall be careful to observe them with all your heart and with all your soul. 17 Today you have proclaimed the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice. 18 Also today the Lord has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments, 19 and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”

The Law Inscribed on Stones

27 Now Moses, with the elders of Israel, commanded the people, saying: “Keep all the commandments which I command you today. 2 And it shall be, on the day when you cross over the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, that you shall set up for yourselves large stones, and whitewash them with lime. 3 You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have crossed over, that you may enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey,’[e] just as the Lord God of your fathers promised you. 4 Therefore it shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan, that on Mount Ebal you shall set up these stones, which I command you today, and you shall whitewash them with lime. 5 And there you shall build an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones; you shall not use an iron tool on them. 6 You shall build with whole stones the altar of the Lord your God, and offer burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God. 7 You shall offer peace offerings, and shall eat there, and rejoice before the Lord your God. 8 And you shall write very plainly on the stones all the words of this law.”
9 Then Moses and the priests, the Levites, spoke to all Israel, saying, “Take heed and listen, O Israel: This day you have become the people of the Lord your God. 10 Therefore you shall obey the voice of the Lord your God, and observe His commandments and His statutes which I command you today.”

Curses Pronounced from Mount Ebal

11 And Moses commanded the people on the same day, saying, 12 “These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have crossed over the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin; 13 and these shall stand on Mount Ebal to curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14 “And the Levites shall speak with a loud voice and say to all the men of Israel: 15 ‘Cursed is the one who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’
“And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen!’
16 ‘Cursed is the one who treats his father or his mother with contempt.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
17 ‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor’s landmark.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
18 ‘Cursed is the one who makes the blind to wander off the road.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
19 ‘Cursed is the one who perverts the justice due the stranger, the fatherless, and widow.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
20 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his father’s wife, because he has uncovered his father’s bed.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
21 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with any kind of animal.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
22 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father or the daughter of his mother.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
23 ‘Cursed is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
24 ‘Cursed is the one who attacks his neighbor secretly.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
25 ‘Cursed is the one who takes a bribe to slay an innocent person.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’
26 ‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’

Blessings on Obedience

28 “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:
3 “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
4 “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
5 “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
6 “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you bewhen you go out.
7 “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
8 “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
9 “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. 10 Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. 11 And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. 13 And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. 14 So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

Curses on Disobedience

15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
16 “Cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the country.
17 “Cursed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
18 “Cursed shall be the fruit of your body and the produce of your land, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
19 “Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
20 “The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me. 21 The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. 22 The Lord will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish. 23 And your heavens which are over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. 24 The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust; from the heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.
25 “The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies; you shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them; and you shall become troublesome to all the kingdoms of the earth. 26 Your carcasses shall be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and no one shall frighten them away. 27 The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors, with the scab, and with the itch, from which you cannot be healed. 28 The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart. 29 And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you.
30 “You shall betroth a wife, but another man shall lie with her; you shall build a house, but you shall not dwell in it; you shall plant a vineyard, but shall not gather its grapes. 31 Your ox shall be slaughtered before your eyes, but you shall not eat of it; your donkey shall be violently taken away from before you, and shall not be restored to you; your sheep shall be given to your enemies, and you shall have no one to rescue them. 32 Your sons and your daughters shall be given to another people, and your eyes shall look and fail with longing for them all day long; and there shall be no strength in your hand. 33 A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually. 34 So you shall be driven mad because of the sight which your eyes see. 35 The Lord will strike you in the knees and on the legs with severe boils which cannot be healed, and from the sole of your foot to the top of your head.
36 “The Lord will bring you and the king whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods—wood and stone. 37 And you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword among all nations where the Lord will drive you.
38 “You shall carry much seed out to the field but gather little in, for the locust shall consume it. 39 You shall plant vineyards and tend them, but you shall neither drink of the wine nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. 40 You shall have olive trees throughout all your territory, but you shall not anoint yourself with the oil; for your olives shall drop off. 41 You shall beget sons and daughters, but they shall not be yours; for they shall go into captivity. 42 Locusts shall consume all your trees and the produce of your land.
43 “The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower. 44 He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
45 “Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. 46 And they shall be upon you for a sign and a wonder, and on your descendants forever.
47 “Because you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of everything, 48 therefore you shall serve your enemies, whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of everything; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you. 49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from afar, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand, 50 a nation of fierce countenance, which does not respect the elderly nor show favor to the young. 51 And they shall eat the increase of your livestock and the produce of your land, until you are destroyed; they shall not leave you grain or new wine or oil, or the increase of your cattle or the offspring of your flocks, until they have destroyed you.
52 “They shall besiege you at all your gates until your high and fortified walls, in which you trust, come down throughout all your land; and they shall besiege you at all your gates throughout all your land which the Lord your God has given you. 53 You shall eat the fruit of your own body, the flesh of your sons and your daughters whom the Lord your God has given you, in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemy shall distress you. 54 The sensitive and very refined man among you will be hostile toward his brother, toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the rest of his children whom he leaves behind, 55 so that he will not give any of them the flesh of his children whom he will eat, because he has nothing left in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemy shall distress you at all your gates. 56 The tender and delicate woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground because of her delicateness and sensitivity, will refuse[f] to the husband of her bosom, and to her son and her daughter, 57 her placenta which comes out from between her feet and her children whom she bears; for she will eat them secretly for lack of everything in the siege and desperate straits in which your enemy shall distress you at all your gates.
58 “If you do not carefully observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, THE LORD YOUR GOD, 59 then the Lord will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary plagues—great and prolonged plagues—and serious and prolonged sicknesses. 60 Moreover He will bring back on you all the diseases of Egypt, of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. 61 Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed. 62 You shall be left few in number, whereas you were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because you would not obey the voice of the Lord your God. 63 And it shall be, that just as the Lord rejoiced over you to do you good and multiply you, so the Lord will rejoice over you to destroy you and bring you to nothing; and you shall be plucked from off the land which you go to possess.
64 “Then the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known—wood and stone. 65 And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place; but there the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul. 66 Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life. 67 In the morning you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ And at evening you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes see.
68 “And the Lord will take you back to Egypt in ships, by the way of which I said to you, ‘You shall never see it again.’ And there you shall be offered for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.

The Covenant Renewed in Moab

29 These are the words of the covenant which the Lord commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant which He made with them in Horeb.
2 Now Moses called all Israel and said to them: “You have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh and to all his servants and to all his land— 3 the great trials which your eyes have seen, the signs, and those great wonders. 4 Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day. 5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness. Your clothes have not worn out on you, and your sandals have not worn out on your feet. 6 You have not eaten bread, nor have you drunk wine or similardrink, that you may know that I am the Lord your God. 7 And when you came to this place, Sihon king of Heshbon and Og king of Bashan came out against us to battle, and we conquered them. 8 We took their land and gave it as an inheritance to the Reubenites, to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh.

Isaiah 60:1-22

The Gentiles Bless Zion

60 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
4 “Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather together, they come to you; Your sons shall come from afar, And your daughters shall be nursed at your side. 5 Then you shall see and become radiant, And your heart shall swell with joy; Because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, The wealth of the Gentiles shall come to you. 6 The multitude of camels shall cover your land, The dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; All those from Sheba shall come; They shall bring gold and incense, And they shall proclaim the praises of the Lord. 7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, The rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; They shall ascend with acceptance on My altar, And I will glorify the house of My glory.
8 “Who are these who fly like a cloud, And like doves to their roosts? 9 Surely the coastlands shall wait for Me; And the ships of Tarshish will come first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of the Lord your God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has glorified you.
10 “The sons of foreigners shall build up your walls, And their kings shall minister to you; For in My wrath I struck you, But in My favor I have had mercy on you. 11 Therefore your gates shall be open continually; They shall not be shut day or night, That men may bring to you the wealth of the Gentiles, And their kings in procession. 12 For the nation and kingdom which will not serve you shall perish, And those nations shall be utterly ruined.
13 “The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, The cypress, the pine, and the box tree together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary; And I will make the place of My feet glorious. 14 Also the sons of those who afflicted you Shall come bowing to you, And all those who despised you shall fall prostrate at the soles of your feet; And they shall call you The City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
15 “Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, So that no one went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, A joy of many generations. 16 You shall drink the milk of the Gentiles, And milk the breast of kings; You shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior And your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 “Instead of bronze I will bring gold, Instead of iron I will bring silver, Instead of wood, bronze, And instead of stones, iron. I will also make your officers peace, And your magistrates righteousness. 18 Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.

God the Glory of His People

19 “The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the Lord will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory. 20 Your sun shall no longer go down, Nor shall your moon withdraw itself; For the Lord will be your everlasting light, And the days of your mourning shall be ended. 21 Also your people shall all be righteous; They shall inherit the land forever, The branch of My planting, The work of My hands, That I may be glorified. 22 A little one shall become a thousand, And a small one a strong nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.”

Ephesians 1:3-6

Redemption in Christ
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

Revelation 21:10-27

10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy[a] Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.
14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names[b] of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was
jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

The Glory of the New Jerusalem

22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it,[c] for the glory[d] of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved[e] shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.[f] 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.[g] 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes[h] an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Can I be Yeshua’s “Apprentice?” (Some valuable things that I am learning from Trump’s “The Apprentice” television series)

The Lord gave me a very interesting and encouraging prophetic word to my heart this morning. I’ll share it with you shortly, I’m transcribing it now. Today President-elect Donald J. Trump and Vice-President-elect Michael Pence have been certified through the electoral college across America. This is an important day. And I have been learning “tons of stuff” by both of their lives, really it’s been quite a treat to get to know both of these amazing men. (Check out this week’s “Time Magazine” for some excellent material and background concerning Michael Pence, and check out (if you haven’t done so recently) “The Apprentice” television series, and Mr. Trump’s books such as “How to Think Like a Champion.” Wow, I have learned so much and been SO challenged and inspired by Donald Trump. I hope you have too.)

New Song: 300,000 Men of Valor— by Steve Kuban

King Jehoshaphat’s passion for YHVH brought much-needed spiritual revival to Judah and Israel in a critical time in their history. (YHVH is the LORD. See note below the lyrics of the song.) We in the church need revival, and our nations need revival. Sometimes we are overwhelmed and fearful because of all the enemy’s work we see happening everywhere in the world. But if we could understand the collective power that we have, as the Body of Messiah Yeshua (Christ Jesus) upon the earth, going forth in His name, we would NOT be afraid! If one can put a thousand enemies to flight, and two of us can send ten thousand enemies fleeing, then millions of Messiah’s warriors marching in agreement in His Name will send all the demons of darkness fleeing!
King Jehoshaphat assembled a massive army of over one million valiant men to guard Jerusalem! (2 Chron 17:14-18). This indeed brought “peace in the land” because of their collective power, and even more so because of their dedication to serve YHVH and His godly king Jehoshaphat.
America at this time truly needs revival. It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in America. This morning before leaving home to minister in the Thanksgiving Service at “Christ Our Banner” Church in New York, YHVH directed me to read 2 Chronicles 17, where King Jehoshaphat brought forth powerful reforms to Judah. He tore down the idols and places of false worship, and set in place leaders and priests who feared and honored YHVH. They travelled throughout the cities of Judah teaching God’s Law: the Torah and the Prophets.
I believe it is the LORD’s desire for the nation of America to be revived once again, just as Judah was brought into revival under the leadership of godly King Jehoshaphat! And we do NOT need to fear the powers of darkness that are relentlessly attacking this nation, and all the nations! Because we in the army of YHVH Sabaoth (the LORD of Hosts) and have all power and authority in the Name of His Son “Yeshua HaMashiach” (the Hebrew Name of “Jesus the Messiah” – the Christ, the Anointed One).
As I read 2 Chronicles 17, I was struck by the vast number of “mighty men of valor” King Jehoshaphat set in place to guard Jerusalem: an army of over one million soldiers! And their job was to wait on the King!
As I continued to read from 2 Chronicles chapter 17 and then chapter 20 (where Jehoshaphat placed singers and musicians at the front of the army), YHVH gave me melody and words to a new song: Three Hundred Thousand Men of Valor.

Steve Kuban with Bishop Efraim Tendero, Bishop Arnold Cabalquinto and Atty Sonny Pascual at COB, NY on November 27, 2016

YHVH told me to sing it in church this morning, so I quickly wrote it out and then drove to church (Christ Our Banner, under Bishop Arnold Cabalquinto) in New York City. It was a special honor today that Bishop Efraim Tendero (Secretary-General of the World Evangelical Alliance, from the Philippines) was preaching this morning. After Bishop Tendero preached I sang this song as a faith declaration over America and over the nations! The Church of Yeshua is victorious! We are His singers and musicians at the front of the army declaring “Praise the LORD! God is good! And His mercy endureth forever!” And we are His priests going throughout the Lands teaching His Word and His Law!

Here are the words to the song, and then below that the scripture passages. Please join me in faith for revival in America ! The Church of Yeshua is strong and powerful, as we lift up YHVH our Elohim, the God of Israel!

Three Hundred Thousand Men of Valor 2016 by Steve Kuban (from 2 Chronicles 17:10-17 and 20:13-22)

(chorus)
Three hundred thousand (300,000) men of valor
Two hundred eighty (280,000) thousand warriors
Two hundred thousand (200,000) mighty men of valor
Waiting upon our King!
Two hundred thousand (200,000) with weapons and armor
One hundred eighty (180,000) thousand prayer warriors
Millions and millions of Messiah’s soldiers
Waiting upon our King
Singing praises to our Elohim!
(verse 1)
America, we stand on guard
This nation belongs to the LORD!
We stand at your gates, and we stand on your walls
Our King is YHVH Sabaoth!
We’re an army of singers and musicians marching forth
At the front of the battle, shouting PRAISE THE LORD!
GOD IS GOOD! AND HIS MERCY FOREVER ENDURES!
SET AMBUSHMENTS AGAINST THEM, O LORD!
(repeat chorus)
(verse 2)
The Spirit of YHVH is upon us!
For thus saith the LORD unto you:
Do NOT be afraid or discouraged
Because of this great multitude!
For this battle is not yours, this battle is the LORD’s.
Stand still and see the salvation of the LORD!
Bow your faces to the ground, stand and shout a joyful sound!
Give praise to the God of Israel!
(verse 3)
Lift high your voices, and worship in holiness!
Trust in YHVH your Elohim!
Believe in His prophets, and so you will prosper!
Forever established in Him!
For you are My army, My warriors, my soldiers
All standing guard, on your knees!
Men and women of valor – My Torah, your armor!
My children, perfecting my praise!
The praises of your Elohim!
(repeat chorus)

(Note: YHVH is the original Hebrew name of ‘the LORD’ in the Old Testament, using the original Hebrew letters Yod, Hey, Vav, Hey (YHVH). He is also called Jehovah (King James Bible), Yehovah, Yahveh, Yah, Yahweh, YHWH, and [among Jews who traditionally do not pronounce His name out of respect] Adonai [Lord] or HaShem [‘the Name’]. All of these Names refer to the same LORD: the God (Elohim) of Israel.)

17 And Jehoshaphat [King Asa’s] son reigned in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.2 And he placed forces in all the fenced cities of Judah, and set garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Asa his father had taken.3 And YHVH was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;4 But sought after Elohim, the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.5 Therefore YHVH established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance.6 And his heart was lifted up in the ways of YHVH: moreover he took away the high places and groves out of Judah.7 Also in the third year of his reign he sent to his princes, even to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah.8 And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, priests.9 And they taught in Judah, and had the book of the law of YHVH with them, and went about throughout all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.10 And the fear of the Lord fell upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war against Jehoshaphat.11 Also some of the Philistines brought Jehoshaphat presents, and tribute silver; and the Arabians brought him flocks, seven thousand and seven hundred rams, and seven thousand and seven hundred he goats.12 And Jehoshaphat waxed great exceedingly; and he built in Judah castles, and cities of store.13 And he had much business in the cities of Judah:
and the men of war, mighty men of valour, were in Jerusalem. 14 And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: Of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valour three hundred thousand (300,000). 15 And next to him was Jehohanan the captain, and with him two hundred and fourscore thousand (280,000). 16 And next him was Amasiah the son of Zichri, who willingly offered himself unto YHVH; and with him two hundred thousand mighty men of valour (200,000). 17 And of Benjamin; Eliada a mighty man of valour, and with him armed men with bow and shield two hundred thousand (200,000). 18 And next him was Jehozabad, and with him an hundred and fourscore thousand (180,000) ready prepared for the war.
19 These waited on the king, beside those whom the king put in the fenced cities throughout all Judah.

2 Chronicles 20 (KJV)

20 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.2 Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek YHVH, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.4 And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of YHVH: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.5 And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of YHVH, before the new court,6 And said, O YHVH Elohim of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?7 Art not thou our Elohim, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?8 And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,9 If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.10 And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;11 Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.12 O our Elohim, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.13 And all Judah stood before YHVH, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.
14 Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of YHVH in the midst of the congregation;15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD (YHVH) unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but Elohim’s.16 To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD (YHVH) with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for YHVH will be with you.18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before YHVH, worshipping YHVH.19 And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise YHVH Elohim of Israel with a loud voice on high.20 And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in YHVH your Elohim, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. 21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto YHVH, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD (YHVH); for his mercy endureth for ever. 22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD (YHVH) set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
30 So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.31 And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem.
